Affiliate Disclosure
A plain-English explanation of how this publication may earn money and how that relationship affects our recommendations.
Last updated: August 13, 2026Current affiliate status
The Smart Pet Edit currently participates in the Petcube (US) affiliate program through Awin. Selected Petcube links contain an affiliate tracking identifier and are labeled near the link. Other product buttons remain non-commissioned unless they are clearly identified as affiliate links.
How affiliate links work
When a reader follows a labeled affiliate link, the network and merchant may use a tracking identifier to attribute a qualifying purchase. If the purchase meets the program’s current rules, the merchant may pay us a commission.
Editorial independence
A higher commission does not automatically make a product our pick. We evaluate pet fit, safety information, daily maintenance, ownership cost, privacy, warranty, returns, and credible owner-feedback patterns. We disclose when an assessment is based on specifications rather than hands-on testing.
Placement of disclosures
A clear disclosure appears near monetized recommendations and before affiliate links—not only on this page. Sponsored content, gifted products, or other material relationships will be labeled separately if they ever occur.
No added cost
Affiliate compensation is paid by the merchant. It does not add a separate fee to the reader’s checkout. The final price and transaction remain controlled by the merchant.
